I like the cam, even with the 3:08 gears in my Corvette (3100 lbs). I honestly don't think it gives up that much bottom end, but oh good heavens, when it hits 2800 rpm, hang onto your girdle, it'll pull your panties right off all the way up to redline. now my problem is keeping clutches in the car.Ģ) I have the next-to bottom of the page cam. it sucked, it was like a light switch, and idling down the freeway, it wouldn't make enough pressure (tc) to keep it in 3rd gear. That said, the first itineration of this set up was with a turbo 3 stall. I have a 4 speed, so I couldn't care less. just had it rebuilt with 190cc/64cc aluminum heads with maximum valve lift of 0.600, big mutha thumpr cam, comp cams 1.6 magnum roller rockers, high energy pushrods, with a weiand dual pane action plus intaken and a 600 cfm freshly rebuilt carb with a 6.5 powervalve. sounds like I'm the only on running their Thumpr cam.ġ) stall depends on which cam you buy (there's like 5). ok so i have a sbc350 over 350 out of a 72 stingray.
